পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৩০৭ : উট বা অন্যান্য পশুর গলায় ঘণ্টা বাঁধা বা সফরে কুকুর এবং ঘুঙুর সঙ্গে রাখা মকরুহ
১/১৬৯৯। আবূ হুরাইরা রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু হতে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, ’’সেই কাফেলার সঙ্গে [রহমতের] ফিরিশতা থাকেন না, যাতে কুকুর কিম্বা ঘুঙুর থাকে।’’ (মুসলিম)[1]
(307) بَابُ كَرَاهِيَةِ تَعْلِيْقِ الْجَرَسِ فِي الْبَعِيْرِ وَغَيْرِهِ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ وَكَرَاهِيَةِ اِسْتِصْحَابِ الْكَلْبِ وَالْجَرَسِ فِي السَّفَرِ
عَن أَبِيْ هُرَيرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: «لاَ تَصْحَبُ المَلاَئِكَةُ رُفْقَةً فِيهَا كَلْبٌ أَوْ جَرَسٌ». رواه مسلم
(307) Chapter: Undesirability of Hanging Bells round the Necks of Animals
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Angels do not accompany the travellers who have with them a dog or a bell."
[Muslim].
Commentary: "Dog'' here stands for that dog which is prohibited to keep. Dogs kept for the purpose of hunting and security do not fall in this category. Angels signify angels of mercy; otherwise we are attended all the time by the angels who record our deeds for us. Bell in this context refers to the bell which is placed in the neck of animals and rings when they move.

২/১৭০০। উক্ত রাবী (আবূ হুরাইরা) হতে বর্ণিত, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, ’’ঘণ্টা বা ঘুঙুর শয়তানের বাঁশি।’’ (বুখারী ও মুসলিম) [1]

وعَنْهُ أنَّ النبيِّ صَلّى االلهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم قَال : » الجرسُ من مزَامِير الشَّيْطَانِ « رَواهُ مُسْلِمٌ .رواه أبو داود بإسناد صحيح على شرط مسلم
(307) Chapter: Undesirability of Hanging Bells round the Necks of Animals
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The bell is one of the musical instruments of Satan."
[Muslim].
Commentary: Mazamir is the plural of Mizmar meaning musical instrument. It covers the lute, the plectrum and other musical instruments. All these are used by Satan to lead the people astray. Nowadays these articles have become alarmingly common. The matter does not end here. The public mentality is so distorted that they take music as food of the soul. (We seek the Refuge of Allah from it). It can be true of those whose souls are overpowered by Satan because one who lives in filth is so used to it that one cannot live without it. May Allah protect us from such satanic occupations.
