পরিচ্ছেদঃ ২৯২ : বেশ-ভূষায়, চাল-চলন ইত্যাদিতে নারী-পুরুষের পরস্পরের অনুকরণ হারাম
১/১৬৩৯। ইবনে আব্বাস রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু হতে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, ’আল্লাহর রাসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম নারীর বেশ ধারণকারী পুরুষদেরকে এবং পুরুষের বেশ ধারণকারী মহিলাদেরকে অভিশাপ করেছেন।’
অন্য বর্ণনায় আছে, ’আল্লাহর রাসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম মহিলাদের সাদৃশ্য অবলম্বনকারী পুরুষদেরকে এবং পুরুষদের সাদৃশ্য অবলম্বনকারী মহিলাদেরকে অভিশাপ করেছেন।’ (বুখারী) [1]
(292) بَابُ تَحْرِيْمِ تَشَبُّهِ الرِّجَالِ بِالنِّسَاءِ وَتَشَبُّهِ النِّسَاءِ بِالرِّجَالِ فِيْ لِبَاسٍ وَحَرَكَةٍ وَغَيْرِ ذٰلِكَ
عَنِ ابنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنهُمَا، قَالَ: لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم المُخَنَّثِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ، وَالمُتَرَجِّلَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ . وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم المُتَشَبِّهِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ بِالنِّسَاءِ، وَالمُتَشَبِّهَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ بِالرِّجَالِ . رواه البخاري
(292) Chapter: Prohibition for Men and Women apeing one another
Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed those men who are effeminate, and women who imitate men.
Another narration is: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed men who copy women and cursed women who copy men.
[Al-Bukhari].
Commentary: Mukhannath (hermaphrodite) is a man who dresses himself like a woman and has an effeminate gait and carriage, while Mutarajjilah is a woman who dresses herself like a man and adopts a masculine style. What we learn from this Hadith is that men and women should stick to their natural qualities and characteristics and strictly avoid the imitation of the opposite sex in appearance as well as conduct. Those who violate their nature have been strongly cursed. Women who are influenced by western philosophies and thoughts and try to adopt all those professions which are special for men, fall in this category. Allah has not entrusted them with those responsibilities which are marked for men only. It is a pity that out of sheer imprudence and blind imitation of the West, Muslim women are now adopting the western lifestyle in all walks of life. Such blind imitation has led many astray and is bound to bring Allah's Wrath upon the transgressors.

২/১৬৪০। আবূ হুরাইরা রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু হতে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, ’আল্লাহর রাসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম সেই পুরুষকে অভিসম্পাত করেছেন, যে মহিলার পোশাক পরে এবং সেই মহিলাকে অভিসম্পাত করেছেন যে পুরুষের পোশাক পরিধান করে।’ (আবূ দাঊদ বিশুদ্ধ সনদ)[1]

وَعَنْ أَبِيْ هُرَيرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الرَّجُلَ يَلْبَسُ لِبْسَةَ المَرْأَةِ، وَالمَرْأَةَ تَلْبَسُ لِبْسَةَ الرَّجُلِ. رواه أَبُو داود بإسناد صحيح
(292) Chapter: Prohibition for Men and Women apeing one another
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed a man who puts on the dress of women, and a woman who puts on the dress of men.
[Abu Dawud].
Commentary: We learn from this Hadith that men's wearing of such clothes, in design and colour, which are special for women such as silken clothes, etc., is forbidden in Islam. Similar is the case of women. They are also prohibited to dress themselves in clothes which are special to men, i.e., shirts, trousers, coat of masculine fashion, etc. This prohibition is very stern as such a manner of dress comes in the category of major sins and has been cursed by the Prophet (PBUH).

৩/১৬৪১। উক্ত রাবী (আবূ হুরাইরাহ) রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু হতে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, ’’দুই প্রকার জাহান্নামী লোক আমি [এখন পর্যন্ত] প্রত্যক্ষ করিনি [অর্থাৎ পরে তাদের আবির্ভাব ঘটবে]: [১] এমন এক সম্প্রদায় যাদের কাছে গরুর লেজের মত চাবুক থাকবে, যা দিয়ে তারা জনগণকে প্রহার করবে। [২] এমন এক শ্রেণীর মহিলা, যারা [এমন নগ্ন] পোশাক পরবে যে, [বাস্তবে] উলঙ্গ থাকবে, [পর পুরুষকে] নিজেদের প্রতি আকর্ষণ করবে ও নিজেরাও [পর পুরুষের প্রতি] আকৃষ্ট হবে। তাদের মাথা হবে উটের হেলে যাওয়া কুজের মত। এ ধরনের মহিলারা জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করবে না এবং তার সুগন্ধও পাবে না। অথচ জান্নাতের সুগন্ধ এত এত দূরত্বের পথ থেকে পাওয়া যাবে।’’ (মুসলিম) [1]
উক্ত হাদীসে كَاسِيَات عَارِيَات এর ব্যাখ্যায় অনেকে বলেছেন, তারা আল্লাহর নেয়ামতের লেবাস পরে থাকবে, কিন্তু তাঁর শোকর আদায় থেকে নগ্ন বা শূন্য হবে। অথবা তারা এমন পোশাক পরবে, যাতে তারা তাদের দেহের কিছু অংশ ঢাকবে এবং সৌন্দর্য ইত্যাদি প্রকাশের জন্য কিছু অংশ বের করে রাখবে। অথবা তারা এমন পাতলা পোশাক পরিধান করবে, যাতে তাদের ভিতরের চামড়ার রঙ বুঝা যাবে।
مَائِلاَت مُمِيلاَت এর ব্যাখ্যায় বলা হয়েছে, তারা আল্লাহর আনুগত্য এবং যা হিফাজত করা দরকার তার হিফাজতের পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত থাকবে। আর তারা অপরকে তাদের ঐ নিন্দনীয় কর্ম শিক্ষা দেবে। অথবা তারা হেলে-দুলে অহংকারের সাথে চলাফিরা করবে এবং নিজেদের কাঁধ বাঁকা করবে। অথবা তারা বেশ্যাদের মত টেরা করে চুলের সিঁথি কাটবে এবং অপরের সিঁথিও অনুরূপ টেরা করে কেটে দেবে।
’তাদের মাথা হবে উটের হেলে যাওয়া কুজের মত’ অর্থাৎ মাথার চুলের সাথে [পরচুলা বা বস্ত্রখণ্ডের] ট্যাসেল বেঁধে বড় করে খোঁপা বাঁধবে। [এরা সকলে জাহান্নামী হবে।]

وَعَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم :«صِنْفَانِ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ لَمْ أَرَهُمَا : قَومٌ مَعَهُمْ سِيَاطٌ كَأَذْنَابِ البَقَرِ يَضْرِبُونَ بِهَا النَّاسَ، وَنِسَاءٌ كَاسِيَاتٌ عَارِيَاتٌ مُمِيلاَتٌ مَائِلاَتٌ، رُؤُوسُهُنَّ كَأَسْنِمَةِ البُخْتِ المائِلَةِ لاَ يَدْخُلْنَ الجَنَّةَ، وَلاَ يَجِدْنَ رِيحَهَا، وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ كَذَا وَكذَا». رواه مسلم

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "There are two types of people who will be punished in Hell and whom I have not seen: men having whips like the tails of cows and they will be beating people with them, and, women who will be dressed but appear to be naked, inviting to evil; and they themselves will be inclined to it. Their heads will appear like the humps of the Bactrian camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Jannah and they will not smell its fragrance which is perceptible from such and such a distance."
[Muslim].
Commentary: This Hadith has the following three important points:
1. It has a warning for those who oppress people. Flogging in Hadd and Qisas does not come in the category of oppression because oppression in the real sense is perpetrated when whipping is done as a means of tyranny and cruelty.
2. It has a stern warning for those women who go about without wearing the Islamic-type veil and take to adornment to display their charms, which is the habit of immoral women. Such women also adorn their hair in different styles and lure men with their coquetry and amorous playfulness. They are shameless and also make others likewise, shameless. This Hadith is one of the signs of the Prophethood of Muhammad (PBUH), the last of the Prophets of Allah, because the evils which he had prophesied in this Hadith have been fulfilled. Muslim women have dopted all these evils and shameless fashions without any fear of punishment in the Hereafter. May Allah relieve us from these evils.
