পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৩৩৮ : নামাযের মধ্যে কোমরে হাত রাখা মাকরূহ
১/১৭৬১। আবূ হুরাইরা রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু হতে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, ’নামাযরত অবস্থায় কোমরে হাত রাখতে আল্লাহর রসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম নিষেধ করেছেন।’ (বুখারী ও মুসলিম)[1]
[নামাযে কোমরে হাত রাখা নিষেধের কারণ স্বরূপ বলা হয়েছে, যেহেতু এ তরীকা ইয়াহুদীদের অথবা যেহেতু জাহান্নামীরা কোমরে হাত রেখে বিশ্রাম নিবে অথবা যেহেতু তা শয়তানের অভ্যাস অথবা যেহেতু তা অহংকারীর লক্ষণ; আর নামায আগাগোড়া সম্পূর্ণ কাকুতি-মিনতি ও বিনয় প্রকাশের ক্ষেত্র মাত্র। অবশ্য যদি কেউ অসুবিধার কারণে কোমরে হাত রাখে, তাহলে সে কথা ভিন্ন।]
(338) بَابُ كَرَاهَةِ وَضْعِ الْيَدِ عَلَى الْخَاصِرَةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنِ الخَصْرِ فِي الصَّلاَةِ . متفق عَلَيْهِ
(338) Chapter: Prohibition of Placing the hands on the sides during As-Salat (The Prayer)
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
We are prohibited from placing the hand on the side during As-Salat (the prayer).
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Commentary: There are two sides of everyone, the left and the right. Since keeping hands on one of them is a sign of arrogance, this is prohibited in Salat. At-Tabarani and Al-Baihaqi have reported a Hadith in which Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Placing the hands on the sides during Salat, is an act of the dwellers of the Fire.'' One can, however, do so only if there is such a pain that he is compelled to place the hands there.
