পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৯৬: সফরকারীকে উপদেশ দেওয়া, বিদায় দেওয়ার দো‘আ পড়া ও তার কাছে নেক দো‘আর নিবেদন ইত্যাদি
৪/৭২০। সাহাবী আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনে য়্যাযীদ খাত্বমী রাদিয়াল্লাহু ’আনহু হতে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম যখন কোন সেনাবাহিনীকে বিদায় জানাতেন, তখন এই দো’আ বলতেন, ’আস্তাওদি’উল্লাহা দ্বীনাকুম অআমানাতাকুম অখাওয়াতীমা আ’মালিকুম। অর্থাৎ তোমাদের দ্বীন, তোমাদের সততা এবং তোমাদের কর্মসমূহের পরিণাম আল্লাহকে সঁপে দিলাম। (সহীহ হাদীস, আবূ দাঊদ ও অন্যান্য বিশুদ্ধ সূত্রে)[1]
بَابُ وِدَاعِ الصَّاحِبِ وَوَصِيَّتِهِ عِنْدَ فِرَاقِهِ لِسَفَرٍوَّغَيْرِهِِ وَالدُّعَاءِ لَهُ وَطَلَبِ الدُّعَاءِ مِنْهُ - (96)
وَعَن عَبدِ اللهِ بنِ يَزِيدَ الخَطْمِيِّ الصَّحَابيِّ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا أرَادَ أنْ يُوَدِّعَ الجَيشَ، قَالَ: أسْتَوْدِعُ اللهَ دِينَكُمْ، وَأمَانَتَكُمْ، وَخَواتِيمَ أعْمَالِكُمْ . حديث صحيح، رواه أَبُو داود وغيره بإسناد صحيح
(96) Chapter: Bidding Farewell and Advising on the Eve of Departure for a Journey or Other Things
'Abdullah bin Yazid Al-Khatmi (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
When Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) intended to bid farewell to his army he would say: "Astau-di'ullaha dinakaum, wa amanatakum, wa khawatima 'amalikum (I entrust Allah with your Deen, your trust and your last deeds)."
[Abu Dawud].
Commentary: This Hadith presents the same benediction as stated above. Yet, here its addresses are the plural number of second person, whereas in the previous Hadith it was singular number. The Hadith points out the virtue desirability of the leader to bid farewell to his army before they set out for the battlefield, and to advise them using the Prophet's words stated above, reminding them to hold fast to their religion for which they have left everything behind to fight for it and to win Allah's Mercy.
