পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৩৫৫ : ক্রয়-বিক্রয় সম্পর্কিত কিছু বিধি-নিষেধ
৬/১৭৮৯। উক্ববাহ ইবনে আমের রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু হতে বর্ণিত, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, ’’এক মুমিন অপর মু’মিনের ভাই। কোন মু’মিনের জন্য এটা বৈধ নয় যে, সে তার ভাইয়ের ক্রয়-বিক্রয়ের উপর নিজের ক্রয়-বিক্রয়ের কথা বলবে। আর এটাও বৈধ নয় যে, সে ভাইয়ের বিবাহ-প্রস্তাবের উপর নিজের বিবাহ-প্রস্তাব দেবে; যতক্ষণ না সে বর্জন করে।’’ (মুসলিম)[1]
(355) بَابُ تَحْرِيْمِ بَيْعِ الْحَاضِرِ لِلْبَادِيْ وَتَلَقِّي الرُّكْبَانِ وَالبَيْعِ عَلٰى بَيْعِ أَخِيْهِ وَالْخِطْبَةِ عَلٰى خِطْبَتِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَّأْذَنَ أَوْ يَرُدَّ
وَعَنْ عُقبَةَ بنِ عَامِرٍ رضي الله عنه : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: «المُؤْمِنُ أَخُو المُؤْمِنِ، فَلاَ يَحِلُّ لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَنْ يَبْتَاعَ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ وَلاَ يَخْطُبَ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ حَتَّى يذَرَ» . رواه مسلم
(355) Chapter: Prohibition of Malpractices in Commerce
'Uqbah bin 'Amir (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "A Mu'min is the brother of another Mu'min; and thus it is not permissible for a Mu'min to make an offer while the offer of his brother is pending, nor should he make a proposal of marriage while that of his brother is pending till he withdraws his proposal."

Commentary: All the acts prohibited in the Ahadith cited above are such that they can cause or increase ill-will and enmity among people. For this reason, all these things have been forbidden by Islam to obviate all possibilities of dissension and discord and bring about mutual affection, fraternity and accord.
