পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৩৩৪ : এশার নামাযের পর কথাবার্তা বলা মাকরূহ
২/১৭৫৬। ইবনে উমার রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু হতে বর্ণিত, আল্লাহর রসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম নিজ জীবনের অন্তিম দিনগুলির কোন একদিন [লোকদেরকে নিয়ে] এশার নামায পড়লেন এবং যখন সালাম ফিরলেন, তখন বললেন, ’’আচ্ছা বলত। এটা তোমাদের কোন রজনী? [এ কথা] সুনিশ্চিত যে, যে ব্যক্তি আজ ধরা-পৃষ্ঠে জীবিত আছে, একশত বছরের মাথায় সে ব্যক্তি অবশিষ্ট থাকবে না [অর্থাৎ মারা যাবে]।’’ (বুখারী ও মুসলিম)[1]
(334) بَابُ كَرَاهَةِ الْحَدِيْثِ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ
عَنِ ابنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنهُمَا : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلَّى العِشَاء فِي آخِرِ حَيَاتِهِ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قال : «أَرَأَيْتَكُمْ لَيْلَتَكُمْ هَذِهِ ؟ فَإِنَّ عَلَى رَأسِ مِئَةِ سَنَةٍ لاَ يَبْقَى مِمَّنْ هُوَ علَى ظَهْرِ الأَرْضِ اليَومَ أَحَدٌ». متفق عليه
(334) Chapter: Abomination of Holding Conversation after 'Isha' (Night) Prayer
Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said:
Once, towards the end of his life, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) concluded the 'Isha' (night) prayer and said, "After one hundred years from tonight none of the people on the surface of the earth will survive."
[Al- Bukhari and Muslim].
Commentary: The Prophet (PBUH) had made a prophecy that none of the people who were alive on that night would live beyond the end of the century. `None of the people on the surface of the earth will survive' has been interpreted as "those who had seen him and known him would not stay alive after a hundred years of his death from that night. This was true, for the last Companion of the Prophet, Abu Tufail Amir bin Wa'ilah, died in 110 A.H., i.e., exactly one hundred years after the Prophet's prophecy.
