পরিচ্ছেদঃ ২৭৭ : চুক্তি ও প্রতিশ্রুতি ভঙ্গ করার নিষেধাজ্ঞা
৪/১৫৯৫। আবূ হুরাইরা রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু হতে বর্ণিত, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেন, মহান আল্লাহ বলেছেন, ’’তিন প্রকার লোক এমন আছে, কিয়ামতের দিন যাদের প্রতিবাদী স্বয়ং আমি; [১] সে ব্যক্তি, যে আমার নামে অঙ্গীকারাবদ্ধ হল, পরে তা ভঙ্গ করল। [২] সে ব্যক্তি, যে স্বাধীন মানুষকে [প্রতারণা দিয়ে] বিক্রি করে তার মূল্য ভক্ষণ করল। [৩] সে ব্যক্তি, যে কোন মজুরকে খাটিয়ে তার নিকট থেকে পুরাপুরি কাজ নিল, কিন্তু তার মজুরী দিল না।’’ (বুখারী) [1]
(277) بَابُ تَحْرِيْمِ الْغَدْرِ
وَعَنْ أَبي هُرَيرَةَ رضي الله عنه عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: «قَالَ الله تَعَالَى : ثَلاَثَةٌ أَنَا خَصْمُهُمْ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ : رَجُلٌ أَعْطَى بِي ثُمَّ غَدَرَ، وَرَجُلٌ بَاعَ حُرَّاً فَأَكَلَ ثَمَنَهُ، وَرَجُلٌ اسْتَأجَرَ أَجِيراً، فَاسْتَوْفَى مِنْهُ، وَلَمْ يُعْطِهِ أَجْرَهُ» . رواه البخاري
(277) Chapter: Prohibition of the Treachery and Breaking one's Covenant
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah, the Exalted, says: 'I will contend on the Day of Resurrection against three (types of) people: One who makes a covenant in My Name and then breaks it; one who sells a free man as a slave and devours his price; and one who hires a workman and having taken full work from him, does not pay him his wages."'

Commentary: This Hadith highlights the importance of fulfillment of promise, the prohibition of the sale of a free person, and the payment of due wages to the labourers.
