পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৬০: দানশীলতা এবং আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা করে পুণ্য কাজে ব্যয় করার বিবরণ
৫/৫৫৩। আবূ হুরাইরাহ রাদিয়াল্লাহু ’আনহু কর্তৃক বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, ’’প্রতিদিন সকালে দু’জন ফিরিশতা অবতরণ করেন। তাঁদের একজন বলেন, ’হে আল্লাহ! দাতাকে তার দানের বিনিময় দিন।’ আর অপরজন বলেন, ’হে আল্লাহ! কৃপণকে ধ্বংস দিন।’’ (বুখারী-মুসলিম) [1]
بَابُ الْكَرَمِ وَالْجُوْدِ وَالْإِنْفَاقِ فِيْ وُجُوْهِ الْخَيْرِثِقَةًمبِاللهِ تَعَالٰى - (60)
وَعَن أَبي هُرَيرَةَ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى الله عليه وسلم:« مَا مِنْ يَوْمٍ يُصبِحُ العِبَادُ فِيهِ إِلاَّ مَلَكَانِ يَنْزِلاَنِ، فَيَقُولُ أحَدُهُمَا: اَللهم أعْطِ مُنْفِقاً خَلَفاً، وَيَقُولُ الآخَرُ: اَللهم أعْطِ مُمْسِكاً تَلَفاً». متفقٌ عَلَيْهِ
(60) Chapter: Excellence of Generosity and Spending in a Good cause with Reliance on Allah
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Everyday two angels descend and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate (more) to the person who gives (in charity)'; while the other one says, 'O Allah! Destroy the one who withholds (charity, etc)".

Commentary: The spending for which there is good news of Divine blessing may be said as expenses on household and guests, etc., as well as voluntary and obligatory charity. And the miserliness which incurs imprecation is restraining from paying Zakat, giving alms and not spending on what is commendable. Destruction may imply the destruction of wealth or that of the miser himself. Only Allah knows better!
