পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৪১ : পিতা-মাতার অবাধ্যতা এবং আত্মীয়তার বন্ধন ছিন্ন করা হারাম
২/৩৪২। আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনু ‘আমর ইবনু আস রাদিয়াল্লাহু ‘আনহু নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম থেকে বর্ণনা করেন, তিনি বলেছেন, ’’কবীরাহ গুনাহসমূহ হচ্ছে, আল্লাহর সাথে শরীক করা, পিতা-মাতার অবাধ্য হওয়া, প্রাণ হত্যা করা এবং মিথ্যা কসম খাওয়া।’’ (বুখারী) [1]
بَابُ تَحْرِيْمِ الْعُقُوْقِ وَقَطِيْعَةِ الرِّحْمِ - (41)
وَعَن عَبدِ اللهِ بنِ عَمرِو بنِ العَاصِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنهُمَا، عَنِ النَّبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، قَالَ: «الكَبَائِرُ : الإشْرَاكُ بِاللهِ، وَعُقُوقُ الوَالِدَيْنِ، وَقَتْلُ النَّفْس، وَاليَمِينُ الغَمُوسُ». رواه البخاري
(41) Chapter: Prohibition of Disobeying Parents and severance of Relations
Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'as (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "(Of the) major sins are: to ascribe partners to Allah, disobey parents, murder someone, and to take a false oath (intentionally)".

Commentary: There are many more major sins which have been enlisted and discussed at length by Muhaddathun in independent volumes, such as Az-Zawajir `an iqtraf-al-Kaba'ir, Kitab-al-Kaba'ir by Adh-Dhahabi. This Hadith mentions some of the major sins enumerated by the Prophet (PBUH) on a particular occasion. We can also say that
the sins mentioned here are some of the most serious among the major sins.
