পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৫৫: দুনিয়াদারি ত্যাগ করার মাহাত্ম্য, দুনিয়া কামানো কম করার প্রতি উৎসাহ প্রদান এবং দারিদ্রের ফযীলত
১২/৪৭২। আবূ হুরাইরাহ রাদিয়াল্লাহু ’আনহু হতে বর্ণিত, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, ’’ধ্বংস হোক দ্বীনারের গোলাম, দিরহামের গোলাম ও উত্তম পোশাক-আশাক ও উত্তম চাদরের গোলাম (দুনিয়াদার)! যদি তাকে দেওয়া হয়, তাহলে সে সন্তুষ্ট হয়। আর না দেওয়া হলে অসন্তুষ্ট হয়।’’(বুখারী) [1]
(55) - باب فضل الزهد في الدنيا و الحث على التقلل منها و فضل الفقر
وَعَنهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، قَالَ: «تَعِسَ عَبْدُ الدِّينَارِ، وَالدِّرْهَمِ، وَالقَطِيفَةِ، وَالخَمِيصَةِ، إنْ أُعْطِيَ رَضِيَ، وَإنْ لَمْ يُعْطَ لَمْ يَرْضَ ». رواه البخاري
(55) Chapter: Excellence of Leading an Ascetic Life, and Virtues of Simple Life
Abu Hurairah (May allah be pleased with ihm) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "May he be miserable, the worshipper of the dinar and dirham, and the worshipper of the striped silk cloak. If he is given anything, he is satisfied; but if not, he is unsatisfied".

Commentary: "A slave of dinar and dirham and silk cloaks (clothes)" here means a person who prefers these things to the Divine injunctions and commands and strives day and night to amass worldly goods. Instead of worshipping Allah, he worships such things and is thus guilty of worship of others besides Allah, a condition which causes his ruin.
