পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৩৭০ : দাজ্জাল ও কিয়ামতের নিদর্শনাবলী সম্পর্কে
২৪/১৮৪০। জাবের রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু হতে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, ’একটি খেজুর গাছের গুঁড়ি [খুঁটি] ছিল। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম খুতবা দানকালে দাঁড়িয়ে তাতে হেলান দিতেন। তারপর যখন [কাঠের] মিম্বর [তৈরি করে] রাখা হল, তখন আমরা দশ মাসের গাভিন উটনীর শব্দের ন্যায় গুঁড়িটির [কান্নার] শব্দ শুনতে পেলাম। পরিশেষে নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম [মিম্বর হতে] নেমে নিজ হাত তার উপর রাখলে সে শান্ত হল।’
অন্য এক বর্ণনায় আছে, ’যখন জুমার দিন এলো এবং নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম মিম্বরের উপর বসলেন, তখন খেজুরের যে গুঁড়ির পাশে তিনি খুতবা দিতেন, তা এমন চিল্লিয়ে কেঁদে উঠল যে, তা ফেটে যাবার উপক্রম হয়ে পড়ল!’
অপর বর্ণনায় আছে, ’শিশুর মত চিল্লিয়ে উঠল। সুতরাং নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম [মিম্বর থেকে] নেমে তাকে ধরে নিজ বুকে জড়ালেন। তখন সে সেই শিশুর মত কাঁদতে লাগল, যে শিশুকে [আদর করে] চুপ করানো হয়, [তাকে চুপ করানো হল এবং] পরিশেষে সে প্রকৃতিস্থ হল।’ রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেন, ’’এর কান্নার কারণ হচ্ছে এই যে, এ [কাছে থেকে] খুতবা শুনত [যা থেকে সে এখন বঞ্চিত হয়ে পড়েছে]।’’ (বুখারী) [1]
(370) بَابُ اَحَادِيْثِ الدَّجَّالِ وَاَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ وَغَىْرِهَا
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: كَانَ جِذْعٌ يَقُومُ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَعْنِي فِي الخُطْبَةِ ـ فَلَمَّا وُضِعَ المِنْبَرُ سَمِعْنَا لِلجِذْعِ مِثْلَ صَوْتِ العِشَارِ، حَتَّى نَزَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَوضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَيهِ فَسَكَنَ . وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَومُ الجُمُعَةِ قَعَدَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى المِنْبَرِ، فَصَاحَتِ النَّخْلَةُ الَّتِي كَانَ يَخْطُبُ عِنْدَهَا حَتَّى كَادَتْ أَنْ تَنْشَقَّ . وفي رواية : فصَاحَتْ صِيَاحَ الصَّبيِّ، فَنَزَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، حَتَّى أَخَذَهَا فَضَمَّهَا إِلَيهِ، فَجَعَلَتْ تَئِنُّ أَنِينَ الصَّبي الَّذِي يُسَكَّتُ حَتَّى اسْتَقَرَّتْ، قَالَ: «بَكَتْ عَلَى مَا كَانَتْ تَسْمَعُ مِنَ الذَّكْرِ» . رواه البخاري
(370) Chapter: Ahadith about Dajjal and Portents of the Hour
Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
There was a trunk of a date-palm tree upon which the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recline while delivering Khutbah (sermon). When a pulpit was placed in the mosque, we heard the trunk crying out like a pregnant she-camel. the Prophet (ﷺ) came down from the pulpit and put his hand on the trunk and it became quiet.
Another narration is: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to stand by a tree or a date-palm on Friday (to give the Khutbah). Then an Ansari woman or man said, "O Messenger of Allah! Shall we make a pulpit for you?" He replied, "If you wish." So they made a pulpit for him and when it was Friday, the Prophet (ﷺ) sat on the pulpit [to deliver the Khutbah (sermon)] and the trunk of the date- palm on which he used to recline cried out as if it would split asunder.
Another narration is: It cried like a child and the Prophet (ﷺ) descended (from the pulpit) and embraced it while it continued moaning like a child being quietened. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "It was crying for (missing) what it used to hear of Dhikr near it."

Commentary: Ibn Hajar said that there is evidence in this Hadith that Allah can endow inanimate objects with a special sense or feeling like that of animals. The Hadith also shows one of the numerous miracles of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH).
