পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৩৯ : প্রতিবেশীর অধিকার এবং তার সাথে সদ্ব্যবহার করার গুরুত্ব
৩/৩১০। আবূ হুরাইরাহ রাদিয়াল্লাহু ’আনহু বলেন, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, ’’আল্লাহর কসম! সে ব্যক্তি মু’মিন নয়। আল্লাহর কসম! সে ব্যক্তি মু’মিন নয়। আল্লাহর কসম! সে ব্যক্তি মু’মিন নয়।’’ জিজ্ঞেস করা হল, ’কোন্ ব্যক্তি? হে আল্লাহর রাসূল!’ তিনি বললেন, ’’যে লোকের প্রতিবেশী তার অনিষ্ট থেকে নিরাপদে থাকে না।’’ (বুখারী ও মুসলিম) [1]
মুসলিমের এক বর্ণনায় আছে, ঐ ব্যক্তি জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করবে না, যার অনিষ্ট থেকে তার প্রতিবেশী নিরাপদে থাকে না।
بَابُ حَقِّ الْجَارِ وَالْوَصِيَّةِ بِهِ - (39)
وَعَن أَبي هُرَيرَةَ رضي الله عنه : أَنَّ النَّبيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، قَالَ: «وَاللهِ لاَ يُؤْمِنُ، وَاللهِ لاَ يُؤْمِنُ، وَاللهِ لاَ يُؤْمِنُ!» قِيلَ : مَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ؟ قَالَ: «الَّذِي لاَ يَأمَنُ جَارُهُ بَوَائِقَهُ!». مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيهِ وفي رواية لمسلم: لا يَدْخُلُ الجَنَّةَ مَنْ لاَ يَأمَنُ جَارُهُ بَوَائِقَهُ
(39) Chapter: Rights of Neighbors
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer." It was asked, "Who is that, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "One whose neighbour does not feel safe from his evil".
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Another narration of Muslim is: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He will not enter Jannah whose neighbour is not secure from his wrongful conduct".
Commentary: This Hadith reveals that hurting or troubling a neighbour is such a serious offence that it causes Allah's Wrath, and thus punishment in Hell.
