পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৩৫: স্ত্রীর উপর স্বামীর অধিকার
২/২৮৭। আবূ হুরাইরাহ রাদিয়াল্লাহু ’আনহু বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, ’’যদি কোনো ব্যক্তি তার স্ত্রীকে নিজ বিছানায় ডাকে এবং সে না আসে, অতঃপর সে (স্বামী) তার প্রতি রাগান্বিত অবস্থায় রাত কাটায়, তাহলে ফিরিশতাগণ তাকে সকাল অবধি অভিসম্পাত করতে থাকেন।’’ (বুখারী, মুসলিম) [1]
অন্য এক বর্ণনায় আছে যে, ’’যখন স্ত্রী নিজ স্বামীর বিছানা ত্যাগ করে (অন্যত্র) রাত্রিযাপন করে, তখন ফিরিশতাবর্গ সকাল পর্যন্ত তাকে অভিশাপ দিতে থাকেন।’’
আর এক বর্ণনায় আছে যে, ’’সেই আল্লাহর কসম, যাঁর হাতে আমার প্রাণ আছে! কোনো স্বামী তার স্ত্রীকে নিজ বিছানার দিকে আহ্বান করার পর সে আসতে অস্বীকার করলে যিনি আকাশে আছেন তিনি (আল্লাহ) তার প্রতি অসন্তুষ্ট থাকেন, যে পর্যন্ত না স্বামী তার প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট হয়ে যায়।’’
بَابُ حَقِّ الزَّوْجِ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ - (35)
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى الله عليه وسلم: «إِذَا دَعَا الرَّجُلُ امرَأتَهُ إِلَى فرَاشِهِ فَلَمْ تَأتِهِ، فَبَاتَ غَضْبَانَ عَلَيْهَا، لَعَنَتْهَا المَلائِكَةُ حَتَّى تُصْبحَ». مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيهِ وَفي رِوَايَةٍ لَهُمَا: إِذَا بَاتَتِ المَرأةُ هَاجِرَةً فِرَاشَ زَوْجِهَا لَعَنَتْهَا المَلاَئِكَةُ حَتَّى تُصْبحَ وَفي رِوَايَةٍ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى الله عليه وسلم: والَّذِي نَفْسِي بيَدِهِ مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يَدْعُو امْرَأتَهُ إِلَى فِرَاشهِ فَتَأبَى عَلَيهِ إلاَّ كَانَ الَّذِي في السَّمَاء سَاخطاً عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى يَرْضَى عَنها
(35) Chapter: Husband's rights concerning his Wife
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When a man calls his wife to his bed, and she does not respond and he (the husband) spends the night angry with her, the angels curse her until morning".

In another narration: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When a woman spends the night away from the bed of her husband, the angels curse her until morning".

In another narration: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "By Him in Whose Hand is my life, when a man calls his wife to his bed, and she does not respond, the One Who is above the heaven becomes displeased with her until he (her husband) becomes pleased with her".

Commentary: This Hadith makes it abundantly clear that obedience of the husband is compulsory on the wife. If, in the absence of any lawful reason, she refuses to obey the orders of her husband, she will be liable to the Wrath and Curse of Allah until she returns to obedience. This Hadith has a stern warning for those women who do not care for the displeasure of their husbands because of their bad temperament, stubbornness and habit of dominating their husbands.
